1. Acceptance of Terms: By registering for and attending the AFSA45 ("Event"), you
("Attendee") agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions, as well as the rules of the
JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa.
2. Registration and Payment
a. Payment: Full payment is due upon registration. Access to the event is
contingent upon receipt of full payment.
b. Substitutions: Substitutions are allowed up to ten days prior to the event.
c. Badges: Badges must be worn at all times. They are non-transferable and may
not be shared.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
a. All cancellations must be submitted in writing to convention@firesprinkler.org
Cancellations on or before Sept. 12, 2026, will be refunded minus a $50 fee.
Cancellations after Sept. 12, 2026, will not receive a refund.
4. Code of Conduct
a. Conduct: Attendees and their guests are required to conduct themselves in a
respectful, professional, and lawful manner at all times. AFSA reserves the right
to remove any individual from the event immediately, without refund, for
disruptive, threatening, intimidating, discriminatory, abusive, or harassing
behavior. Such conduct may also result in denial of attendance at future AFSA
events and any additional actions deemed appropriate by AFSA.
b. Prohibited Items: Weapons, illegal substances, and hazardous materials are
strictly prohibited on the premises.
c. Confidentiality: Attendees must respect confidentiality requests by speakers and
other participants.
5. Media Consent (Photo/Video)
a. By attending, you consent to being photographed or filmed. AFSA reserves the
right to use this media for promotional purposes without compensation to you.
6. Seminars
a. No recording, video, audio, or otherwise, is permitted during any AFSA45
seminar.
b. Digital seminar handouts are for registered attendees only and are not for
distribution.
c. To receive CEUs, attendees must be scanned in, must attend the session in its
entirety, and must complete the session evaluation within 30 days.
7. Liability Waiver
a. Attendees assume all risks and release the American Fire Sprinkler Association,
its staff, and the venue from any liability, including personal injury, property theft,
or illness (including COVID-19) occurring before, during, or after the event.
8. Force Majeure
a. AFSA is not liable for performance delays or failures caused by acts of God, war,
government regulation, disaster, strikes, or other emergencies beyond its
control.
9. Amendments
a. AFSA reserves the right to amend these terms at any time.
